Another one of my great trips to rail locations throughout Britain. In this case we had a camping Holiday in the Peak District so i paid a visit to the local rail locations. I also paid a visit to Toton on the journey there.

Well what a hellfire day that was, plenty of Shed action and my thanks go out to James,Chris,Tom,Will,Jules,Lee,Ali and Stephen amongst others. The Meet fot is included

First off we see the Newly repainted 31452 In BAR Green piloting 1Q06 at Welwyn Garden City. I then took most of the 26th out for fotting all around my patch; this collection includes the 365+317 combo on test and some other RHTT's plus some extras.

Another good day fro charters, with a pair of Duffs at a new lineside location near the Old Waterford gravel pits. The loco on the rear of this train 854 later caught fire on the return from Devon at Westbury. I then went to Welwyn North to see Tornado.

A quick visit to the yard at Wansford to see new arrivals Ped 190 and Grid 114. Something has happened to the Ped if you have found what happened to it post a comment below the 2 fots.

Another good afternoon at Welwyn North and P'boro with several light engine moves including a 92, and several freights, also one of my last 4 uncopped, GBRF sheds, copped. Visitors were NXEA 90003 and Jules46443, and for a brief time the one and only Mr Benton.

I had had reports that this would be one of the best gala's of the year, this curtainly proved true. Even with our short stay there, there was some proper hellfire thrash and the last train. For those that dont remember it was 37425+60059+66144+67008.

I quick trip out to Bayford to see 31285 on the 1Q12 with DBSO 9701. It was over 40 minutes late by this time and the light had almost faded.

What can i say but a HELLFIRE day.Both of the 37's were insane and thank you driver/s who made my day. Apart from that there was some great thrash by the Bears and the Ped was particularly good. Bring on Autumn 09!

An almost perfect day to do some photography. Oliver Cromwell came through cleanly but i nearly got bowled by a 365, lucky i had my long lens on. A nice extra was 47760 running light after the tour.

Pics from our Skiing holiday with a railroading theme. We stayed just outside Lake Louise and found that freight activity was intense. Almost every day after ( and sometimes before ) skiing we went trackside and got some great shots. The loco diet was almost entirely CP AC44's and one SD40-2.

What a superb day, sun, snow, about 400 people turning out. Turned out to see Tornado on its second run. Even an hour before, the station was crowded with onlookers. By the time Tornado came through 400 people were there completely taking up all of the platforms. I have never seen Welwyn North so crowded with enthusiasts in my life.

A wet day and a 59 at Welwyn North. First Schenker loco on 2nd run, had the phone lines buzzing. Also included was the bonus of SHED 077 on half of the Lafarge discharge train.

This gallery depicts 1Q18 Test train on its travels the first pair is 37259,605 at a rainy Broxboune. The 2nd train was handled by 37069 and 37611 which were bagged at Hertford East in full sun! Unforetunately i was at school so i have to credit My Dad for taking himself out of work for this collection. Dad did not use my camera but my Fuji Finepix F50d

A great day started with a visit to Broxbourne to see D1015 (Western Champ). I then rushed across to Stevenage to see Kettle 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley. Plenty of Kettle bashers at Stevenage ( at least 30). Had the local Anglia Gen correspondents at Brox as well.

A very foggy day at Banbury to see the beasts 37676,37248 on ECS to Poole. Very busy with freight and 2 not photted, getting in car, 955 and 956 on liners.

A superb day out first to see the glorious 40145 at Stevenage and the up to Peterborough. Here i met the legend Jon of EastCoastTrains Fame.

My latest visit to Toton was probably my best one. I had my first Fastline Shed, The Legendary Tug Of War, 60011 clagging its guts out (first run in over 3 years) and the normal freight traffic.

A camping holiday in the Dean Forest provided me ( and dad) to go to some of my favorite places in South Wales. Before this I never knew about how good these places actually were. An additional bonus was a visit to the GWR's Autumn diesel gala which was great.

Another great NVR gala TA NVR. Plenty of thrash especially from 37518.

Sadly our last visit to OC before closure and demolision. Seems sad really that it will be demolished as it will be the end of an era for many spotters and bashers alike.

My 2nd visit to Peterborough. The highlights were a pair of tugs and some shed ???Thrash???

In 2007 I went on my first rail trip to Immingham, Barnetby and Doncaster. Unforetunately the conditions at Immingham were diabolical so the shots are not that good.
